The Racken Rest 3 is an Australian designed gun rest designed to hold a rifle on a vehicle window sill while driving the vehicle. It can mount to either sides of a vehicle door. It is a UNIVERSAL model. Fits almost all car doors. The rest is capable of holding a rifle in place to keep the rifle firmly fixed in place. This means a shooter will not be required to repeatedly set up or remove a rifle every time he/she needs to take a shot. The mount has a swiveling capability for lateral and vertical movement. The tension controlled vertical and horizontal swiveling action has a range which is unmatched by any other rest ever developed for the doors of a vehicle. The arms are also telescopically adjustable for height and length to adjust for each rifle and shooter.

Comes with:

1 x Racken Rest 3 Base - Flat design to fit more doors including wide doors like the Ford Ranger and more. The design is now adjustable in length to ensure it fits all door sizes.

1 x Double Swivel Mount - dual pivot points allow for a better aiming range and ease of use.

1 x Gun Cradle: The gun cradle is a widely used cradle across the SmartRest range. It features new V Mounts. The new V mounts can be bent to adjust for wider or narrow firearms. Note: This will need to be done in a vice.  

1 x pair of green silicone straps - new colour for the #3 series.

1 x medium strut + 2 x long struts. Use the strut necessary to achieve the correct fit according to the shape of the car door.

Racken Rest 3 Options, upgrades and attachments: 

- It is universal due to the adjustable length - meaning you don't have to worry about long or short models. 

- The base is now flat - meaning it now fits even the thickest of door trims.

- It comes with all the optional struts you need to make it universal for large square doors or standard doors.

- Lone Shooter is now also upgraded due to the Racken 3 upgrades. It is more sturdy and rigid.  

• Off Set Arms: An after sale item for rifles with magazines we have developed a configuration that allows for large magazines and pistol grips
• Strap Down Option: Strap down the firearm from underneath. Avoiding straps over the barrel.
• Flexi Joint and Gun Clamp: Use this for firearms with pistol grips, large magazines or lever actions.
• Lone Shooter Attachment: attach the Lone Shooter set up so you can use a spotlight, thermals or both all in one gun rest. This allows a shooter to do everything on their own including scanning, searching and shooting all alone. 
• Lean to Cross Bar: A new option which acts as a carrier with a cross bar to lean the rifle on without the swiveling cradle.
